Two children discovers an egg on a beach somewhere in Scotland. The egg eventually hatches into a "waterhorse". The family tried to keep it, but it continues to grow bigger (that not even the tub can actually accommodate it). Later, that waterhorse grew up and was freed to the lake and known to be the Loch Ness monster of that lake.
