Sydney Wells (Jessica Alba) is an accomplished, an independent, concert violinist based in Los Angeles. She is blind, since childhood due to a tragedy. As the story opens, Sydney went through a double corneal transplant, one that she has been waiting her entire life, successfully her sight was restored. Neural Ophthalmologist Dr. Paul Faulkner (Alessandro Nivola) helped Sydney with the adjustment, Sydney was also given support by her older sister Helen (Parker Posey). Sydney starts seeing again.
However, Sydney's happiness did not last that long as something unexplainable --shadowy and terrifying---- images starts to haunt her. Sydney's family and close friends begins to doubt her sanity, but Sydney is convinced that her eye donor has something to do with what she is going through. The donor somehow opened the door to one terrifying world that only Sydney can see. |
